First I applied a medium coat of gesso and let dry well.
Then I reinked and stamped quite hard in other spots. The solvents in the ink pull up the tacky paint and leave a sort of ghost or negative image, such as the one in the upper right corner or the text image in the upper center.
The printed flashcards fit perfectly on the chipboard tags and I was impressed by the smooth and clean edges of the diecut shapes. Also popped out a couple of spiral flourishes and a frame, then went over everything with a quick coat of ivory paint.
I really like Julie's products and showed them to my friends at The Stamping Grounds who hope to soon carry them in the shop. Here's a link to Julie's site: http://members.westnet.com.au/collections/index.html
If YOU decide to alter a binder, please send me a link. I'd love to have more ideas since I'm always repurposing them to house my collections of ATCs and other precious treasures.
